    Spend time reading at your leisure and earn recertification credits.   SHRM offers several HR books that enable you to earn 2.5 credits for each book you read and pass an on-line quiz.  HRA sponsors a Book Club to facilitate reading, learning and quiz preparation.  The Club periodically selects a book that all members read over a 2-3 month period.  During that time, club members meet at least twice to discuss the book and prepare for the quiz.

    When you buy the book from the SHRMStore, you will receive a code to take a quiz. After you have read the book, you will log onto the SHRM e-Learning site and establish an account. Locate the book you have read and take the test. The book and the test will indicate what kind of credit you will receive. If you receive a 70+ passing grade, you will receive a Program ID that you will log into your HRCI account for credit.

    Besides reading books, the group periodically will view a video and have a discussion on it -- a one shot deal.  We will try to secure videos through the SHRM Foundation, which are leading edge topics and also provide certification credits.
