    A key competency of effective leaders is developing the ability to influence those around them.  In highly collaborative environments especially those with “flat” leadership structures, influencing skills will always supersede the use of positional power.  When influencing is done well, it creates true understanding and aligns people towards a beneficial outcome.

    During Influencing for Maximum Impact: Preparation, participants learn practical and powerful techniques to positively influence and persuade the people around them.  We will also explore dominant influencing approaches outlined by the Influencing Style Instrument (ISI).  This helps people make the best choices for an influencing approach based on each person and each influencing situation.

    Our objectives include learning how to:

    • Persuade people without commanding or demanding
    • Use the preparation phase of the influencing process to maximize productivity during influencing conversations
    • Establish a more deliberate approach to influencing encounters
    • Use a defined influencing process to achieve business needs
