    Topic:  Active Shooter - How to Protect your Employees and Company

    Agenda 

    Active Shooter workshops have already taken place in a number of U.S. cities and will continue to be held in a number of locations in the future. These scenario-based workshops feature facilitated discussions to engage private sector professionals and law enforcement representatives from Federal, State, and local agencies to learn how to prepare for, and respond to, an active shooter situation. Through the course of the exercise, participants evaluate current response concepts, plans, and capabilities for coordinated responses to active shooter incidents.

    This workshop is designed to provide information and "what to do" preparedness to our HRA members.  Key personnel from both Federal and State Homeland Security, the FBI, the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office and the Cumberland County Office of Emergency Preparedness will provide important information and interaction.  

    Some of the key elements that will be covered are:

    Emergency Issues / Resources / Plans                                   

    • Bomb Threats
    • Weather – floods, hurricanes
    • Fire
    • Active Shooter

    Protective Measures and Awareness –                                 

    • Security Assessments for Small Businesses (Facility Self-Assessment Tool) 
    • Identifying your vulnerabilities and improve target hardening –
    • Developing an emergency response plan
