    Are you a joint employer? Do you have workers on your premises, rendering you services that are on someone else’s payroll? Are you a franchise owner?  What is joint employment? That may depend on who you ask. The National Labor Relations Board and the US Department of Labor seem to be broadening the definition of the term almost daily. There is a good chance that you are a joint employer to at least one worker who may not even be on your payroll.  Find out if you are a joint employer, and if so, what you can do about it.
