The Age-Appropriate Workplace: Leveraging Intergenerational Dynamics to Your Advantage

    Program Description

Having five generations in the workplace brings potential for misunderstandings, miscommunication, and even conflict. Yet it also creates the capacity for great problem-solving power, innovativeness, and insight into a changing marketplace. The key is realizing multigenerational dynamics are not a liability but an opportunity. This mindset shift sets you up up to build a strong, cohesive organization that attracts and retains the best talent, keeps them engaged, consistently performs well, and improves over time.

In this high-level session, Rick Grimaldi—author of the upcoming book Age Appropriate: How to Leverage a Multigenerational Workforce and Win the Market—shares strategies for shifting your culture in a way that maximizes the “gifts” of employees of all age groups. Results may include greater cross-generational understanding, a rich repository of complementary skills, perspectives, and networks to tap into, and age-diverse teams that regularly generate smart solutions and fresh ideas.

    Learning Objectives

Explore the most valuable traits of employees from each generation and how to amplify their impact in your organization

-Pinpoint strategic changes you may need to make in areas like ESG and other expressions of your corporate values, recruiting, training & development, employee wellness, and more

-Equip leaders to foster strong employee relationships, engage and motivate people of all ages, and build bridges between the generations rather than reinforcing walls
