This seminar will discuss the leave analysis for NJ Employers. Specifically, this seminar will cover:
- New Jersey Family Leave Act
- New Jersey Temporary Disability
- NJ Earned Sick Leave
- FMLA Leave
- PTO and Vacation Policies
By the end of this seminar, attendees will discuss how to triage an employee leave request and understand employer obligations while an employee is out on protected leave.
Managing your companies benefit plan is no easy task. When you add in the nuances of various types of leave, this task becomes even more difficult. It is important to understand how federal, state and company leave policies affect your employee’s medical and ancillary coverage while out of work in addition to making sure you are running the correct process to ensure that there is not a loss in coverage or that you are not putting the company or employee at risk of uncovered claims. In this presentation will discuss how leave policies overlap and the various pitfalls that HR may find themselves facing when a complicated leave situation arises.
