    1) Marijuana in the Workplace 

    Assessing actions employers may want to take regarding medical or recreational marijuana in the workplace.  

    What is the current law; and how do you manage issues that arise when employees use marijuana?

     

    2) ADA issues 

    The federal and state laws regarding reasonable accommodations and disability discrimination;

    ·The interplay of the ADA and corresponding state anti-discrimination laws with other laws including workers compensation, discrimination laws, the FMLA, as well as laws legalizing medical marijuana in New Jersey;

    ·Steps for engaging in the interactive process;

    ·How employers should approach requests for accommodations, including particularly unique requests for accommodations;

    ·New developments in accessibility requirements including website accessibility;

    ·Actions for employers to consider in order to proactively address medical and/or recreational marijuana in the workplace.
