Topic: Why Employee Engagement Matters? How to Measure it, Act on it, and Sell it to the C-Suite!
Description::
Often the biggest obstacle to organizational success isn’t fundamentally a lack of talent, capital, time, or products but the sub-optimal execution of the business strategy. This failure to execute can be traced back to issues of leadership, values/culture, policies/practices, and ultimately employee engagement. As others have said, culture trumps strategy every time!
There are more and less effective cultures – even an unpleasant or harsh environment with low levels of employee engagement can generate profits (but at what price?). Together we will explore some major cultures found in companies and their impact (positive and negative) on employee engagement and organizational results. Using examples, this talk will demonstrate the dollar impact of employee engagement on business results and the ROI of investments that seek to improve it. A key learning is, in fact, that engagement often isn’t enough. We will also address, through cost-effective, best-in-class practices, how to build a comprehensive strategy for measuring engagement and acting on the findings.
Along the way, we will debunk fashionable theories about millennial engagement as mostly nonsense.
What you will learn in this talk:
· How to sell employee engagement to the C-Suite using proof-evidence that a highly engaged workforce leads to business success and a market advantage
· The definition of employee engagement, how to measure it, and a model for action
· The 3 mission critical needs of employees that when met lead to high levels of engagement and superior market performance
· The 5 things leaders and managers do that demotivate employees
· How to build a culture that leads to a highly engaged workforce and superior market performance
