    Overview

Skills Gap Solutions - Education and Workforce Development

There is an economic and business issue of high unemployment while at the same time employers can’t find qualified employees.  It’s a skills mismatch – the Skills Gap.  Learn how Cumberland County Technical Education Center (CCTec) can help solve skills gap problems.

Businesses now more than ever need a well-trained and highly skilled workforce to compete in a global economy. This state-of-the-art educational facility will serve as a catalyst for the elevated growth and expansion of existing and future business and industry located here.

When the new CCTec opens its’ doors in 2016, area students will have the opportunity to enroll in integrated technical high school education programs geared toward making them workforce ready and/or college ready.  The school is a great opportunity not only for students who want to follow a different path but for employers who need skill sets that are not necessarily taught in college.

Learn from Dr. Elliott, Superintendent, what programs are available and how employers will find a source for a talented and skilled workforce.  Find how Human Resource professionals can partner with the school to provide information and feedback to ensure the skills taught will meet employers’ needs.

Find solutions to you recruiting efforts and closing the skills gap.
