Teaching HR Professionals to Advocate
Program Description
We’re told to advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion. We’re asked to advocate for ourselves and each other. But no one has ever taught us HOW to advocate. That changes today.
In this interactive, engaging conversation you’ll learn that nothing happens until someone believes, and an advocate knows how to build belief. You’ll leave able to use the 3 Es of an advocate—Energy, Empathy and Evidence—to build better belief, advocate for yourself and each other and collect your wins.
Learning Objectives
Participants will learn to:
- identify the difference between communication and advocating.
- recognize the value of mastering one’s energy and use breath, awareness and thought work to do so.
- differentiate between affective empathy and cognitive empathy, and use cognitive empathy to see others’ perspectives and become a stronger advocate.
- understand how to turn facts into evidence and stories into proof.
