As a show of our continued appreciation for the work local affiliates do to support , SHRM is offering SHRM Chapters and State Councils the opportunity to provide their constituents with complimentary SHRM Certification exam applications for the second testing window of 2021 (December 1, 2021 - February 15, 2022)!
Offer Details As Follows:
Chapter Offering – A limited number of complimentary exam seats are available for dual members of a local chapter (members of both SHRM national and the chapter).

- Chapters are offered complimentary SHRM Certification applications on a first come, first serve basis, with a maximum limit of 5 applicants per chapter. The offer will close once the overall threshold is met.
To aid in the selection process, we've included a number of suggestions on identifying who might be a good prospect for this opportunity. Ideas include the following:
Chapter Prospects:
- A dual member (of SHRM and the chapter) who has or is planning to participate in a local chapter certification study group.
- A dual member chapter or state council conference attendee who visits the affiliate booth and expresses serious interest in becoming a SHRM Certification credential holder.
- A dual member interested in testing who is selected through a drawing.
- A dual member who currently holds the SHRM-CP credential and is interested in and eligible for earning their SHRM-SCP credential.
- Most meet SHRM certification eligibility criteria
How To Take Advantage Of The Offer
Register on HRA's website if you are interested. The first 5 members who meet the criteria will be submitted to SHRM.
The participating Chapter or State Council must submit the names and contact information for viable candidates using this form beginning June 1, 2021 through September 1, 2021.
Viable candidates would include individuals who hold dual membership or are state council volunteer leaders as described above, who meet SHRM Certification eligibility criteria and who have a genuine interest in testing during the second testing window of 2021 (December 1, 2021 – February 15, 2022).
Upon submission of the affiliate form, the selected dual member(s) applicant(s) will receive detailed instructions directly from the SHRM Certification team on how to complete the complementary application process.
