    Description::

    Conducting business in New Jersey can be challenging.  An understanding of the issues associated with having employees is important for employers of any size.  Indeed, all employers are well-advised to learn how to navigate through the laws that govern the New Jersey workplace, and to take steps to minimize their exposure to costly and distracting employment litigations. This is not a lecture on employment law. Attendees will be quizzed on employment law issues that most employers will eventually confront (e.g., from wage & hour compliance, to deciding whether to engage an independent contractor, to dealing with an internal complaint of sexual harassment). Through an interactive, amusing, and informative discussion of the quiz, attendees will acquire a greater appreciation for the importance of being proactive in matters relating to one of their most importance assets (or potential liabilities): their employees.
