       Registration:  7:30 – 8:00 am

       Breakfast:       8:00 – 8:30 am

       Program:        8:30 – 11:00 am

    Fee:  HR/Business Participants -- $25 HRA Member and Non-HRA Member

              Veterans – no fee (must show Military ID or DD214)

    This Breakfast Roundtable will deliver valuable information to the HR/business community and veterans . 

    General  Session:  

    • Debunking the Myths and Perceptions – what’s the Truths and Realities of hiring veterans
    • Panel of Veterans Representatives and Employers
    • Veteran(s) and veteran(s)’s spouse(s) -  sharing  their stories
    • How to translate their military skills to the civilian workforce

    Breakout Sessions:

    • Veterans participants
      • Job Search techniques and resources
      • Veterans benefits
      • Housing
    • HR/Business participants
      • How to recruit veterans, specific resources
      • What support veterans entering workforce may need
      • Financial incentives for hiring veterans
      • Legal and Ethical reasons for hiring, especially government contractors

    Closing Session - Wrap Up

    • Bringing it all together
    • Questions and Answer session
    • Commit to Action

    POST EVENT OPPORTUNITY (11 to Noon)  - meet the Veterans one-on-one.  Offer to critic resumes, provide job search information, and explore job opportunities.  Please plan on staying.
