Guest Speaker: Ross Desimone, Corporate Psychology
This interactive presentation offers workshop participants ideas about ways to lead oneself and/or others toward getting things accomplished. It provides a “cute” analogy about the use of goals, accountabilities and ongoing feedback in the pursuit of business objectives. The workshop reviews eight approaches used by Santa Claus to gain buy-in from people (i.e., the elves) around him, then it connects these approaches to key and relevant challenges faced by the audience’s participants.
One example of Santa’s approach includes, “Be Good For Goodness Sake.” When the workshop reviews this approach, it offers the participant ways to:
- Identify techniques to set the example
- Define methods to establish guidelines for accountability
- Remember that everything counts.
