What Every Employer Can Do to Reduce Workers’ Compensation Costs
Description
With this presentation, we will explore legislation and other factors that are driving up the cost of workers’ compensation for employers in New Jersey. We will also focus on what employers can do on their own to reduce the frequency and severity of workers’ compensation claims. The discussion will additionally focus attention on an increasingly common issue of joint employment in New Jersey, how such issues are handled in workers’ compensation, and how joint employment findings can help employers with respect to civil claims that are filed against them.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this presentation, attendees will:
- Understand the major factors that drive up the cost of workers’ compensation in New Jersey.
- Learn strategies to reduce the frequency and severity of workers’ compensation costs.
